The scariest thing happened to me yesterday. While watching the ateneo-ue game, I felt na parang na-jejebs ako. So i said i'll wait na lang for halftime so i wouldnt miss any of the action. And so i did...

While "unloading", I was reading a magazine. After I was done, I stood up quickly in order to put the mag away before i clean my ass. It almost proved to be my undoing. Did you ever experience the so-called "head rush"? (I dunno if the term is right). Basta yung mahihilo ka when you stand up right away. So i did feel that. I felt dizzy so i leaned on the door. And then, bam! I blacked out for about 3-5 seconds. When i regained consciousness, I was already sitting on the floor with my left elbow on the pail and my right hand leaning on the floor. I had a hard time breathing and everything around me was spinning.

I tried to stand up right away but i felt pain on my left chest. My heart was beating very fast. And i realized that the heart was located on the left chest... This could be the feeling if magkaroon ka ng heartburn. I thought to myself, this must be what it's like to suffer from a stroke. I was thinking, thank God i'm only 21 coz if i was already in my 40's, i probably would have been in a coma by now, or worse, in a morgue. And i thought, I dont wanna be caught dead while unloading my shit! It would have been a shameful way to die... And to think, I havent even flushed the toilet! WTF! Eto yung mga kwentong imbis na maawa ka sa namatay, matatawa ka tuloy dahil sa way ng pagkamatay!

Scared the hell out of me. Kayats! My dad's cousin died of a stroke just late last year or early this year because of stroke. He was on his way home in an FX together with his sister. He was asleep during the trip with his head down. When he woke up, he just looked up. And then it happened. I think he was in a coma for days before he passed away.

When I got out of the CR, i felt something in my left ribs and in my right knee. They had bruises. My ribs probably hit the faucet on my way down. And my knee probably hit the wall.

People say you see flashbacks when you're about to die. Well i agree. During the brief time i passed out, i remebered the 1st half of the ateneo-ue game flashing right before my eyes. Buti na lng yun lang ang nagflashback. Kasi kung umabot na nung season na nanalo ng championship ang ateneo, baka na-coma na ako nun. Ang layo na nun e, 2002 pa. Mahaba-habang flashback na yun! Hahaha!

This means my "oatmeal for breakfast" diet would have to be maintained... And oh, i read that kimchi lowers the cholesterol, which means lowering the risk of a stroke or any heart disease. Hmmmm... Kimchi... And a friendly reminder, dahan-dahan lang sa pagtayo...
